The Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an has brought together a range of parties from Abu Dhabi’s government and business sectors in a wonderful example of community spirit and social cohesion.
The contributors united under Ma’an’s ‘Together We Are Good’ programme and collaborated to provide not only real world support to those in need, but an example of how powerful the effects of collective social responsibility can be.
Her Highness Sheikha Dr. Moza bint Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan has contributed a full compound of villas that will provide accommodation for medical workers in Abu Dhabi.
Situated in Khalifa City, a total of 190 rooms across the 38 villas will be available to SEHA staff following their shifts at hospitals and clinics in the Emirate.
Keen to demonstrate the Emirate’s social cohesion, UAE businessmen have also pulled together to assist the SEHA employees during their stay by providing an array of in-kind contributions as well as security staff, cleaners and volunteers that will be working at the villas.
To ensure the villas met the required standards including Department of Health Abu Dhabi, SEHA conducted a thorough inspection of all facilities. The full compound will also be sterilized three times a week to help tackle the current health challenges.
Among those to who came together to offer their support is Hilal Al Ketheiri , who has provided 720 meals for the SEHA staff. Salah Al Juneibi, CEO of Bin Suhail International General Trading & Representation of Companies Est has offered to sterilize all of the villas three times a week, while Osama Nabil, Chairman of The National Distinguished Company for General Trade has donated 120,000 bottles of water to cleaners, security personnel, medical workers and volunteers.
Mohamed Ali Baslaib, CEO of Arabian Company Group, has generously offered furniture from his Arco Interiors company to furnish all 38 of the villas in the compound. This impressive example of community spirit will allow the hard-working SEHA staff to be as comfortable as possible during their time off.

Rashid Al Badi, the owner of Multi-Fix General Maintenance and Buildings, provided a thorough cleaning service across all the villas prior to the SHEA employees taking up residence.

Mubarak Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Factories Group, which includes Super Care Detergents and Disinfectant Factory, has stepped forward to provide sterilization materials including disinfectants and plastic bags. Another businessman has donated 500 sterilizers, gloves and masks for cleaners.
The ‘Together We Are Good’ programme, launched by the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an has been a big success to date. Millions of dirhams have been donated while hundreds of in-kind contributions have been received as the Abu Dhabi community continues to come together to address the current health and economic challenges.

“The SEHA front-line medical workers have been doing an extraordinary job during these unprecedented times and these in-kind contributions reflects our contributors’ appreciation to the vital work that they are doing. This will make a big difference to making their daily lives much easier following a hard day’s work.
“As well as the SEHA staff, the services of the security personnel and cleaners are also appreciated who are playing a key role in supporting the medical workers during their stay.
“We have seen how amazing our community is and it’s inspiring to see how businesses and individuals are coming forward to support people in need. I encourage everyone to contribute – no matter how big or small, it will make a difference.”
